Join us for a special conversation with Kaya Chakrabortty, 2024 Miss Universe Japan and MSU alumna (B.S. in Lyman Briggs, 2023), as she discusses beauty ideals in Japan and shares her personal experiences in the pageant industry. As the first Miss Universe Japan titleholder of Bangladeshi heritage, Kaya offers a unique perspective on how cultural identity and representation intersect with beauty standards in Japan today.

Come celebrate her achievements and gain insight into how concepts of beauty are shaped, challenged, and redefined in contemporary Japanese society. Refreshments will be provided following the discussion.
