CAORC offers two fellowship programs. The Multi-Country Research Fellowship supports transnational research in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences for scholars with a PhD or terminal degree as well as doctoral candidates who are 'all but dissertation'. The CAORC-NEH Research Fellowship supports advanced research in the humanities in one country with a participating Overseas Research Center as a base for scholars with a PhD or terminal degree.
The Wenner-Gren Foundation provides grants and fellowships to support anthropological research and training worldwide.

Blakemore Freeman Fellowships are awarded for one academic year (two semesters or three quarters) of advanced level language study in East or Southeast Asia. Eligible languages are Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Khmer, Thai, and Vietnamese. The Blakemore Foundation makes grants for study only at specific language programs. The American Center for Mongolian Studies offers fellowships to support research and cultural exchange in Mongolia. Programs include language study, field research, and academic collaboration, strengthening ties between Mongolia and the international scholarly community.
The American Institute for Indonesian Studies offers fellowships and grants to support research and language study in Indonesia. Programs are available for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as scholars, fostering academic exchange between the U.S. and Indonesia.
The Center for Khmer Studies provides fellowships and grants to promote research, teaching and public engagement in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. Opportunities are available for students and scholars across various disciplines to conduct field research and language study.
The Inya Institute offers fellowships to support research and projects related to Myanmar. Fellowships are available for both Myanmar and international scholars, and cover a range of disciplines including social sciences, humanities, and arts.
For more than 60 years, the American Institute of Indian Studies has provided funding to pre- and post-doctoral scholars and artists in pursuit of knowledge about India.
The AIIS fellowship competition is not restricted to those from its member institutions. Non-U.S. citizens may apply as long as they are either graduate students or full-time faculty at colleges and universities in the United States. Approximately 35 fellowships are awarded each year.
AIBS provides fellowships for US citizens and Bangladesh citizens to conduct research in Bangladesh. Fellowships support scholarly projects in the social sciences, humanities, and related fields that enhance knowledge of Bangladesh.

AIPS offers fellowships for U.S. citizens and travel grants for U.S. and Pakistani citizens to conduct research in Pakistan. Fellowships support doctoral and post-doctoral research, while travel grants fund short-term projects of up to 4 months.
AIAS provides research fellowships for U.S. citizens to conduct Afghanistan-related research outside the U.S. and Afghanistan, with a maximum award of $6,000. They also offer research grants for scholars of all nationalities to conduct research and writing within the U.S., with a maximum award of $3,000.
AIIrS offers 1-2 month fellowships for dissertation research travel to countries with essential resources for Iranian studies. The fellowships are open to graduate students enrolled in U.S. universities.
TARII has two fellowship programs: one for Iraqi citizens and one for U.S. citizens. The fellowships support research projects in ancient, medieval, and modern Iraq, with a focus on humanities and social sciences.
The W.F. ARIT provides fellowships for U.S. citizens and scholars at North American institutions to carry out research in Turkey in ancient, historical, and modern times. Fellowships support short-term to year-long research, intensive advanced Turkish language study, and exchanges with Turkish institutions.
ARISC supports scholarly research, mentoring, and cultural heritage preservation in the South Caucasus. The institute offers graduate and postdoctoral fellowships, research grants, and resources to facilitate research and build capacity in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
