Bridget wearing sunglasses standing inside a market in LondonI have just started my senior year at MSU, and (if all goes according to plan) should be graduating in December! I am majoring in English Literature and minoring in Public Relations. I come from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I recently returned from Europe where I did a summer study abroad program called Public Relations in the United Kingdom.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. This the first time I left the United States, and I was nervous about doing this. But after jumping into the deep end, I realized how amazing it is to travel. I met so many people from all over the world and got to see what life is like in different communities and cultures.

My program also gave us the opportunity to visit professionals at their work in the PR field. This was so enriching and inspired me to consider working abroad. I loved seeing people that aren’t that far away from myself in age and how much they enjoy their jobs.

I feel so grateful for the opportunity to travel this summer and it has given me the travel bug. I was able to go to so many amazing places and my experiences made me realize how much more there is in the world that I would like to visit before I die.
