I was shown a new culture, met new people, and was exposed to a world beyond what I had encapsulated myself in. I was able to not only experience a new culture but create new friends that I will have with me for the rest of my life.

As a proud second-generation immigrant Latiné student at MSU, I found that this experience was one beyond my wildest dreams and served to give me a unique perspective on the program. Having no prior knowledge on the European views of Hispanic people, I was a bit nervous going into this program, but I found myself to be welcomed into my program with open arms. I was even able to use my Spanish speaking abilities to help other tourists through the streets of Dublin, something I hadn’t expected to do.

While the thought of studying abroad may seem daunting to some, I found the experience to be one of the best of my life and not something I am soon likely to forget.
