Why do Indigenous communities in Southeast Asia struggle to receive recognition of their rights under the UN Declaration of Indigenous Peoples? What are the global concerns regarding forest conservation in Southeast Asia, and what efforts are Indigenous Peoples making to protect their forests, rights, and cultures? Chutima ‘Miju’ Morlaeku, a renowned activist and leader in Indigenous Peoples' rights in Thailand and beyond, will explore these pressing issues. Miju is the cofounder of the Akha Network for Peace and Sustainability and serves on several boards, advocating for Indigenous rights across Asia.
