Detroit-based Taiwanese American writer Stacey (Wan Ching) He worked as a journalist before turning to creative writing. Three Moons, her debut novel, appeared with Taiwan's premiere literary press Unitas in 2018. Centering on three Chinese female immigrants' lives in New York City, Three Moons explores migration and women's careers, family ties, sexuality, and identities. In this presentation, Stacey He will read selected passages from Three Moons and engage in a conversation with moderator Tze-lan Sang, Professor of Chinese at MSU, and the audience about writing in-between cultures. This panel on "Turkey and Central Eurasia" is the first in a series of inquiriessponsored by several MSU centers and programs into "The Geopolitics and Economicsof Central Eurasia and Its Neighbors." Future panels will look at China, Russia, Europeand other external actors to explore trans-regional relationships and interactions, asChina's Belt and Road Initiative plays out, Russia seeks to regain dominant influenceover former Soviet regions in its "near abroad," and Turkey seeks to unite the Turkiclanguage speaking world in what some have termed "Neo-Ottomanism."

He has mentored several undergraduate and post graduate medicalstudents, and is very actively involved as a certified national trainer for various training modulesrelated to neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, basic and advanced care under the banner of IndianAcademy of Pediatrics (IAP), National Neonatology Forum of India (NNF), American Academy of Pediatrics and UNICEF
He has been a five-times-winner of the "NRP Champion award" for his contribution to Neonatal Resuscitation Trainings andis currently the Joint National Convener of the Neonatal Resuscitation Trainings of IAP and NNF.
He was selected amongst sixyoung researchers in 2009 for two- years Health Research Mentorship program of St John's Research Institute, Bangalore- aCenter of Excellence for NIH-NHLBI-UH's Global Health Initiative, and has also collaborated with The Eunice Kennedy ShriverNational Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Global Network for Women's and Children's HealthResearch investigators and coordinated the Helping Babies Breathe trial at Nagpur, India.

Behere is a Director Professor and currently practices at the Psychiatry Department in Acharya Vinobha Bhave Rural Hospital which is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences in Wardha, Maharashtra. He specializes in adult, child and addictionpsychiatry. During his 42 years of experience, he has held various posts including being the prestigious Vice Chancellor of D. Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed University) in Kolhapur Maharashtra.
Behere has a keen interest in education and clinical research and has presented at national and international meetings, published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals and has written chapters in books pertaining to mental health. He is the National Advisor in the Journal of Psychosexual Health and a member of the Editorial Advisory board of numerous journals. He is also part of several national and international committees including being the Executive Council member of Remote and Rural Mental Health of World Psychiatric Association (WPA). He has a passion in Global Health and is the elected Chairman of the Task Force on Combat Schizophrenia of Indian Psychiatry Society and a Member of Task Force onMillion Suicide Study for Prevention Suicide in India. He is also the Chief Coordinator for SE Asia in Global Mental Health Assessment Tool (GMHAT).
