Center Resources

The Asian Studies Center provides a variety of services, resources, and opportunities for students, faculty, and pre-school through college (P-16) educators

Affiliated Centers

The Asian Studies Center collaborates with a number of units and centers at Michigan State University to offer students academic, experiential, and language-centered opportunities to engage in Asian studies.


The Asian Studies Center regularly organizes and co-sponsors various Asia-related national, regional, and international conferences. Upcoming conferences include the Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs in 2019 and the Central Eurasian Studies Society conference in 2020.

Faculty Funding

Funds are available for faculty to develop strategic partnerships with universities and institutions of higher education and research in Asian studies, and to teach, conduct research or outreach in global studies focusing on Asia.

P-16 Teacher Resources

The Asian Studies Center has a collection of K‑12 lessons donated by K‑12 teachers for use in various classrooms.


The Asian Studies Center produces a bi-weekly newsletter that highlights upcoming Asia related events, student and faculty spotlights, and relevant announcements. You can also access the center's annual magazine.
