Office of China Program

The Office of International Studies and Programs at MSU established the Office of China Programs in July 2005 to implement President Lou Anna K. Simon's China Initiatives. This establishment is part of MSU's long-term strategic plan to gain recognition as the nation's premier land-grant university for the 21st century to expand the presence of MSU in China. In accordance with President Simon's China Initiatives, the Office is pursuing the following goals:

  • Build strategic partnerships with key Chinese research and educational institutions
  • Increase MSU's visibility through launching transformative projects and programs in China
  • Expand on-campus commitment and capacity for China programs
  • Build cultural, economic and civic bridges between China and the State of Michigan
