The Center for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies
The Center for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (CERES) is a study center within Michigan State University's Office of International Studies and Programs. CERES aims to promote study and understanding of European, Eurasian, and Russian culture, society, and political issues. It is affiliated with two undergraduate specializations and retains relationships with other study units, centers, and programs within ISP. The two undergraduate specializations directly associated with the Center for European and Russian/Eurasian Studies (CERES) are the Western European Studies specialization and the Russian and Eastern European Studies specialization. CERES also maintains a relationship with other like-minded study units, such as the Muslim Studies Program, which has a Muslim Studies Specialization.The Asian Studies Center cooperates with CERES in supporting instructions in West and Central Asian Languages and other initiatives advancing teaching and research on Eurasia.
