Teaching About East Asia

Welcome to the Teaching about Asia website. This website contains information about this Freeman Foundation-sponsored course designed to assist middle and high school teachers in integrating East Asia into their classes. The Spring 2010 seminar will be held 16 January – 17 April on the campus of Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. This professional development opportunity is offered without cost, and each participant will receive a $500 stipend and $200 worth of books. Participants' schools also will receive $300 worth of teaching materials on East Asia. The course will also be offered in a one-week intensive format in West Michigan; tentative dates for this course are July 12-16.
