Across the world, higher education institutions play an important role as countries strive to participate competitively in the international knowledge economy and support the well-being of their citizens. While specific national contexts vary, within most countries in Asia, higher education is experiencing a rapid expansion, a process accompanied by both promise and challenge.

Dr. Chapman and Dr. Austin will draw on a recent international study to discuss issues pertaining to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of higher education within the Asian context.
